Gates 2/C158 PowerBand V-Belt

The Gates 2/C158 PowerBand V-Belt is engineered for high-power drives subjected to pulsating loads. Its PowerBand technology joins multiple V-belts with a permanent, high-strength tie band, providing a tougher, more stable solution than single belts. This construction ensures even load distribution and secure fitting in the sheave groove, preventing vibration, turning over, or jumping off pulleys. Featuring Flex-bonded tensile cords and a durable Flex-Weave cover, this belt offers superior resistance to tensile and flexing forces, fatigue, shock loads, heat, ozone, sunlight, weather, and aging. The EPDM belt material is designed to combat self-ignition from heat build-up, even with severe slippage. Ideal for industrial and agricultural applications, including HVAC, conveyor systems, pumps, and air compressors.

Technical Details

This is a Gates Hi-Power II V-Belt with a C-section profile. It has a pitch length of 162 inches and an outside circumference of 164 inches. The belt features a top width of 7/8 inches and a nominal thickness of 17/32 inches. It is constructed with polyester tensile cords and a double-layer fabric cover. The belt is designed for oil and heat resistance and meets RMA standards for oil and heat resistance and static conductivity.
