Gates BB270 Hi-Power® Dubl-V Belt

The Gates BB270 Hi-Power® Dubl-V Belt is engineered for demanding industrial serpentine applications requiring power transmission from both sides of the belt. Its unique recessed top and bottom design maintains sidewall contact while ensuring flexibility. Featuring Flex-Bonded cords for superior load distribution and fatigue resistance, and a protective Flex-Weave® cover that is oil and heat resistant, this belt is built for durability. It is ideal for drives with counter-rotating shafts and reverse bends, offering premium performance and extended belt life. This belt is also static conductive, making it suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Technical Details

The Gates BB270 is a B-section, cogged, Hi-Power® II Dubl-V belt designed for dual-sided power transmission. It features a nominal effective length of 271 inches and a pitch length of 271 inches. The belt has a top width of 0.66 inches and a nominal thickness of 0.53 inches. Constructed with polyester flex-bonded cords and an EPDM compound, it offers oil and heat resistance. The temperature range is -58°F to +248°F (-50°C to +120°C). It meets ARPM/RMA IP-3-2 (oil/heat resistance) and IP-3-3 (static conductivity) standards.
