Engineered for superior performance on heavy-duty industrial drives, the Gates BX99 Tri-Power Molded Notch V-Belt is built with a patented ethylene EPDM compound for exceptional resistance to cracking and extreme temperatures. Its raw edge construction and specially designed notches enhance flexibility, making it ideal for drives with small diameter pulleys and back idlers. The machined belt edge ensures even sheave groove contact for smoother operation, reduced slippage, and extended wear life. Flex-Bonded tensile cords provide equal load distribution and absorb bending stress without cord deterioration, ensuring durability and reliability in demanding environments. This belt is resistant to oil, heat, contaminants, tensile and flexing forces, fatigue, and shock loads, and its proprietary EPDM material is engineered to resist self-ignition from heat build-up.

Technical Details

The Gates BX99 is a BX section cogged V-belt with an outside circumference and pitch length of 102 inches. It features a Tri-Power Molded Notch design for increased flexibility, suitable for drives with smaller diameter pulleys. The belt is constructed with EPDM material and polyester cords, offering a temperature range of -58°F to +248°F (-50°C to +120°C). Its top width is 0.66 inches, and it has a nominal thickness of 0.41 inches. This belt meets ARPM/RMA oil and heat resistant standards, as well as static conductivity requirements.
